Chef Nic van Wyk's Bistro 13 is situated adjacent to our tasting room. Guests can enjoy the view while enjoying a food and wine experience with classic roots and a focus on South African flavours.
Chef Nic van Wyk's past includes judge on KykNET's Kokkedoor show, as well as co-founder of Terroir restaurant.
The restaurant welcomes guests of all ages, with open grass and dream-weaver jungle gyms for children to play. The Munchkin Menu has healthy kids options, sausage with mash and peas, and fish fingers with ‘green’ (courgette) fries – all served on colourful plates. Ice cream chocolate sauce or jelly and custard should keep them happy too.

Our newest venture is the launch of Enaleni Vineyards, a wine farm that produce Fairtrade-accredited wines of the highest quality. This means adopting the business function of Enaleni Vineyards with regards to marketing, skills development, distribution, finance and winemaking.
Abraham's main task is to procure and blend the best possible wines for Stellenbosch Vineyards ranges, including big commercial sellers Arniston Bay and Versus. He's also involved in the barrel selection for the Credo and Stellenbosch Vineyards ranges.
He completed his Hons BSc in Oenology at the University of Stellenbosch and joined the company in 2004. Recently, Abraham also completed his SMDP at the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB).
Abraham is also no stranger to accolades with a Best in Class at the International Wine and Spirits Awards for some of the earlier vintages of the Arniston Bay Chenin Blanc Chardonnay, proving that with careful winemaking, one can achieve excellence in a commercial brand.

Bernard is responsible for primary production in the Welmoed cellar and oversees the whole winemaking process, from grape intake to bottle-ready wine. He completed his first harvest on Welmoed in 2000 while still a winemaking student at the University of Stellenbosch and joined the company in 2004. Recently, Bernard completed his SMDP at the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB).
Some of his winemaking successes include the double gold Veritas stunner, the Credo Chenin Blanc 2010 and the limited release The Flagship Petit Verdot 2010.
His winemaking goal?
"Obviously one wants recognition for the quality of one's work and the way for this is probably to win a few accolades along the way. But honestly I just like to make great wines that always over-deliver and that can be enjoyed by everyone."
